As a Direct Tax Practice Leader at the company, your role will involve leading client engagements across Direct Tax, International Tax, M&A Advisory, and Audit.
You will be responsible for managing complex mandates, guiding teams, and driving growth in the Direct Tax practice.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing tax-efficient structures for individuals, firms, LLPs, companies, and trusts.
• Identifying savings opportunities while ensuring compliance with current laws.
• Drafting and reviewing tax opinions for complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
• Advising on capital gains, business transfers, and share acquisitions.
• Structuring JVs, investments, and exits from a tax perspective.
• Supporting due diligence, restructuring, and transaction documentation.
• Advising on cross-border transactions, DTAAs, and withholding tax implications.
• Reviewing Form 3CEB and Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Managing client relationships for global structuring mandates.
• Leading Statutory Audits for listed and unlisted companies.
• Reviewing Tax Audits (Form 3CD) for diverse entities.
• Ensuring timely and accurate compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and Income Tax laws.
To be considered for this role, you should be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7-15 years of post-qualification experience.
It is mandatory to have experience in a CA firm or consulting practice (Big4 or mid-tier) and strong exposure to Direct Tax, International Tax, Transaction Advisory, and Statutory & Tax Audits.
You should have a proven ability to lead teams of 5+ professionals, manage client relationships, and possess working knowledge of Ind AS and corporate law.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills are also essential for this position.
