Overview
The Innovation Finance Analyst partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate and support innovation projects throughout the stage-gate process.
The role is responsible for developing business cases, assessing project profitability, providing financial insights to support key decisions, and ensuring robust financial governance across the innovation portfolio.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial business cases for innovation projectsEvaluate project profitability, investment requirements, and financial viabilityBuild financial models incorporating volume, pricing, cost, and investment assumptionsPartner with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, and FP&A teams to validate assumptions and challenge inputsProvide financial support for stage-gate reviews and governance discussionsIdentify key financial risks, opportunities, and sensitivities within innovation projectsPrepare and present financial insights for leadership and decision-making forumsEnsure accuracy and consistency of financial information across project submissions and governance processesManage multiple innovation projects while delivering high-quality analysis within agreed timelinesContribute to continuous improvement of innovation finance tools, templates, and processes
Qualifications
Experience managing a P&L7-9 years of experience in finance and planning CA/CMA/MBA finance preferredFMCG/Manufacturing industry experience
Experience in financial analysis, data integrity maintenance and systems such as SAP, TM1/Mosaic, HFMTableau knowledgeStrong excel skillsAble to work independently and takes initiativeCapable of managing multiple time sensitive priorities simultaneouslyDetail-oriented; organized in approach and in document maintenanceAbility to function well in a team environmentConsistently shows urgency, courtesy and patienceExceptional communication skills.
Proficiency in English language
