Internal Audit Consultant

Position: Internal Auditor Construction & Infrastructure Experience: 38 Years Qualification: B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) Location: Hyderabad Working Days: 5 Days a Week About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Internal Audit professional with experience in the Construction and Infrastructure sector. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of construction project life cycles, project controls, contract management, procurement processes, and risk-based internal audit methodologies. The ideal candidate must be a Civil Engineer by qualification and should have hands-on experience conducting internal audits for construction and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Execute risk-based internal audits for construction and infrastructure projects. Review project governance, project execution, procurement, contract management, billing, and project cost controls. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across project operations. Conduct audits covering project planning, budgeting, tendering, vendor management, and project monitoring processes. Identify operational, financial, compliance, and project execution risks and recommend mitigation measures. Evaluate compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Prepare audit reports, document findings, and track closure of audit observations. Perform root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements. Coordinate with project teams, business stakeholders, and management to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations. Support special reviews, investigations, and management-requested assignments. Required Skills & Experience 38 years of experience in Internal Audit within the Construction and Infrastructure sector. Mandatory experience auditing construction projects, EPC projects, real estate development projects, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of Project Costing & Budgetary Controls Procurement & Contract Management Project Billing & Revenue Recognition Tendering Processes Project Monitoring & Execution Controls Vendor Management Risk Assessment & Internal Controls Experience in preparing audit reports and presenting observations to management. Knowledge of project management and construction business processes. Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and audit documentation tools. Mandatory Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Experience in Internal Audit Exposure to Construction/Infrastructure Domain Clients Experience in Risk Assessment and Audit Execution Strong understanding of Project Controls and Contract Management
