Role Description The GST Litigation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Nagpur.
This role involves managing GST-related disputes and litigation, including drafting replies, preparing submissions, and representing clients before tax authorities and quasi-judicial forums under the supervision of senior partners.
The person in this role will review notices and orders, analyze GST provisions and case laws, and prepare detailed opinions and advisory notes for clients.
Daily responsibilities include coordinating with clients to gather documentation, maintaining case records, monitoring deadlines, and supporting strategy development for assessments, appeals, and reconciliations.
The GST Litigation Manager will collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate compliance, identify potential risk areas, and contribute to internal knowledge-building on GST developments.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of GST laws, rules, and procedures, including experience with assessments, appeals, and dispute resolution.
Proficiency in legal drafting and documentation, including replies to notices, written submissions, and opinions.
Ability to analyze financial and transactional data to identify GST issues and support litigation strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Experience interacting with tax authorities or appearing before GST-related forums is highly beneficial.
Professional qualification such as CA, CMA, CS, LLB, or a relevant postgraduate degree in taxation or law is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, on-site professional environment. .
