As we continue to scale, we are looking for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team as an FP&A Analyst .
This is a fully remote opportunity for a candidate based in India who is looking to build their career within a fast-growing regional retail business.
The role combines financial planning and analysis with financial controllership.
You will support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of our accounts under IFRS. THE ROLE: As an FP&A Analyst, you will help turn financial and accounting data into clear, decision-ready insights.
You will support the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting cycles, contribute to an accurate and timely month-end close, and prepare financial reports that give business leaders a clear view of performance, cost drivers and profitability.
Working across Finance and other business functions, you will analyse results, challenge assumptions and support commercial decisions with reliable financial insight.
Support planning at entity, cost-centre and P&L-line level.
Work with business teams to review and validate financial assumptions.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and explain key variances.
Month-End Close & Financial Control Support the monthly closing process to ensure the books are accurate and completed on schedule.
Reconcile financial data and investigate discrepancies back to source.
Help maintain the integrity and accuracy of accounting records across the business.
Management Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly management reporting packs, including P&L analysis, cost reporting, KPI dashboards and unit economics.
Clearly explain the financial and operational drivers behind business performance.
Improve the speed, accuracy and clarity of financial reporting over time.
Present financial findings in a clear and practical way to finance and non-finance stakeholders. IFRS Compliance Apply IFRS principles in day-to-day accounting and financial reporting.
Support accounting treatment related to IFRS 15 revenue recognition, IFRS 16 leases, IFRS 9 financial instruments and IAS 36 impairment.
Prepare technical accounting workings or memos where treatment requires judgement.
Help ensure financial reporting remains accurate, consistent and compliant.
Business Partnering Work closely with Commercial, Operations and other functional teams.
Review business cases and provide quantified financial analysis.
Support pricing, investment and commercial decisions.
Communicate financial insights clearly and constructively challenge assumptions where required. WHO YOU ARE: MUST have a Chartered Accountant (CA) certificate.
Articleship experience in FP&A, financial reporting or a corporate finance function is preferred.
Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting and IFRS.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas and Power Query.
Working exposure to an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, NetSuite or SAP.
Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Pigment or Anaplan is a strong advantage.
Able to reconcile large datasets and trace financial figures back to their source. A clear and confident communicator who can explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Comfortable challenging assumptions constructively and supporting decisions with data. A bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
Based in India and comfortable working fully remotely.
