Job Title: Analyst, SOX ComplianceWe are looking for a team player, go-getter with ambition, with focus and strong understanding of business processes and controls.
The Analyst, SOX Compliance, based in India, will work to promote Genesys’ Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts.
This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the US team.
ResponsibilitiesAssists and supports the organization with initial compliance with and ongoing preparation, testing, and monitoring of conformance to requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley legislationAssist in SOX planning, scoping, and risk assessment for business processes, with close collaboration with business process owners and external auditorsConduct business process walkthroughs and controls testing according to established audit standardDevelop high-quality business process and audit testing documentationEvaluate audit findings and coordinate remediation of activitiesMay be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
May manage projects at this level, requiring responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product.
Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with their business area's subject matter, often requiring persuasion or clear explanation of data and concepts.
Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, CA, CPA, or related field1 to 2 years of audit experience preferredStrong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal audit standardsCIA or CISA certification preferredStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Experience in a SaaS environment preferred
