Analyst SOX Compliance

Job Title: SOX Analyst, External Reporting Office location: Mumbai / Hybrid Job Type (perm/FTC): Permanent Context & Job PurposeAs a SOX Analyst • External Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring full SOX compliance, meeting all external reporting deadlines, and driving adherence to relevant accounting policies across the business. The role also focuses on enhancing the quality and accuracy of financial accounting within GXO. Additionally, you will support the integration of Wincanton by ensuring key controls are operating effectively, particularly in relation to balance sheet account reconciliations through BlackLine, thereby contributing to a more efficient and robust external audit process. Key ResponsibilitiesSOX ComplianceTesting and documentation of Internal Controls for SOX compliance with major focus on balance sheet reconciliations. Advise on process improvement based on SOX compliance work • balance sheet reconciliations and accounting. Find opportunities to enhance and standardise balance sheet reconciliation templates. Ability to use data analytics tools to test controls over population level. Ability to learn and advance in IT audits (GITCs and ITACs). Controllership responsibilitiesRegular reviews of central and site balance sheet reconciliations, on Blackline. Co-ordinate audits for UK companies within the GXO Group, including statutory audit, SOX audit, internal audit. Support and ensure the central finance team operates controls. Prepare reports and training notes based on balance sheet reconciliations performed. Assistance with general financial accounting queries and special projects. Standardise the Internal controls within the GXO Group. Experience And Qualification RequiredQualified Accountant (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)Degree in Accountancy, Business, Finance, or related fieldExcellent communication skillsStrong background in financial accounting Experience in Internal or External AuditAdvanced Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAble to work to tight deadlines, within a small team, helping others wherever possibleTeam-oriented with a proactive approach to supporting colleaguesPreferred SkillsKnowledge of Oracle Fusion is an advantageKnowledge of Blackline is an advantageKnowledge of Power BI is an advantageVISA for UK
