Role Overview:
As an Associate Analyst/Analyst, Accounting & Reporting at Colgate-Palmolive Company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and month-end closing processes in compliance with US GAAP standards.
Your responsibilities will include driving operational excellence, ensuring SOX compliance, process improvements, and delivering high-quality MIS to support management decision-making.
Additionally, you will lead a global team, fostering stakeholder relationships for seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts, Bank accounts, and follow up on open items
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and maintain effective internal controls
• Execute intercompany transactions and cash application processes
• Post Rule-based journal entries accurately and review audit queries in a timely manner
• Engage with local teams to resolve issues and ensure alignment with processes
• Perform activities related to closing books of accounts and comply with SOX guidelines
• Participate in standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and business partner engagements
• Provide prompt responses to local business queries
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.
Com) or MBA
- Proficient knowledge of Indian GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS
- Familiarity with Google Suite and SAP
- Strong communication and people management skills
